As a form of the company’s commitment to the CSR program, PT Central Pertiwi Bahari Lampung as a subsidiary of PT Central Proteina Prima held a program “Mangrove Tree Planting”. This program has been carried out by planting 50,000 trees and will continue to increase a long with the time.
This activity aims to restore the damaged Mangrove Ecosystem. Damage that occurs due to land conversion to other use areas, encroachment, pests and diseases, pollution and expansion of ponds and unsustainable cultivation practices.
This Mangrove Tree Planting activity has been running for a long time. This activity will be carried out continuously in the hope that it can provides many benefits, both indirectly and directly to human life.
Some of the indirect benefits for human consumption, among others are:
- Grow islands and stabilize beaches
- Purify water, hold mud and trap sediment
- Absorbing waves and storm winds
